Flow of repair reception

　Repair or adjustment of guitars, basses, ukuleles, other guitar family instruments is available at Shimamura Musical Instruments Repair Division "Guitar Repair Work Shop".

　Brass instruments and woodwinds will be repaired / adjusted at the "Wind and Repair": a workshop specialized in the repair of wind instruments.

　String instruments such as violin and cello are available at “Shimamura Strings Akihabara” specialized in repairing strings. 　

　Other instruments / equipments will be sent to the wholesaler or manufacturer.

　After we keep the instruments, we send them to each agents, and specialized staff will estimate work content, required parts, working days. We are averaged around 1 week to contact customers about the details after we keep the instruments.

　**If the agents are busy, it may take more time before the estimate comes out.

　**Shipping fee may be expensive depending on size and weight, etc.

About cancellation fee

　As a result of the estimate, repair may not be accepted for some reasons such as no repair agent or no parts.

　In addition, you have to pay a round-trip shipping cost even if you want to cancel the repair.

About manufacturer guarantee

　Musical instruments within the warranty period can be repaired by manufacturer's expense only when the manufacturers or the wholesalers are located in Japan.

　For the repair under warranty period, manufacturer's warranty certificate is required.

About payment of repair cost

　Payment of repair expenses is available by cash, card payment and cash on delivery.

We can only communicate only in Japanese in the telephone.English speakers are few in our store.Please contact us from substitute Japanese speaker.
